Culture and Volunteering

Our team at Hood Construction spends a lot of time collaborating on a wide variety of projects. But we like to have fun out of the office too! We have been known to meet up before the Carolina-Clemson game to tailgate, grab some appetizers at the rooftop at Hendrix, and even have the occasional NCAA bracket challenge. Internship Program

The goal of Hood’s internship program is to provide our interns with the tools to succeed in the construction industry – and beyond. As an intern, you’ll be immersed in what it takes to be a Construction Manager, both in the field and in the office. Expect your time to be divided between field and office operations; on-site, you’ll assist the Project Superintendent with daily reporting, shop drawing reviews, attend weekly meetings, assist craft workers with daily tasks, observe coordination among specialty contractors in the field, observe safety audits, and much more. In the office, you’ll assist the Project Management staff with estimating, shop drawing dafabet sports bettingreviews, project scheduling, participate in Fresh Eyes quality reviews, help with accounting, and attend design meetings. At the conclusion of your internship here at Hood, you will have gained a wealth of knowledge on the entire construction process from pre-construction to final closeout.
